Cloning
A confession, inspired by Mary's post about her favourite jeans: I only wear Gap Carpenter jeans. Light blue. Age 10-12. I own four identical pairs.
And somehow, I still manage to have a favourite pair. Huh?

Not huh at all. I just bought a pair of jeans the same as my favourite pair and they don't fit as well at all.
So did you succomb to NaNoWriMo? I really wanted to do it this year, have a story and an opening paragraph, but life got crazy and I'm not. But maybe I'll try and write the story anyway.
Lol. I buy 2 or 3 at a time though! On the same day ... but yes, I guess they all wear differently. That's something I kind of love about jeans in particular, that they are the sum of their experiences as much as we are.
Yup. 4000 words down ... 46000 to go. Oh ... that makes it sound scary! Just do it - I love Lorianne's take on it. And they do say that it clears something. My dad has a book to write, he's been struggling with it for years because it feels too important, too loaded. I suggested that he use NaNoWriMo to write a story about a guy who needs to write the book he needs to write, and what happens to him. The beauty of NaNoWriMo is that you're not setting out to write something GOOD. It doesn't matter if it's complete rubbish, it's the word count that counts :)
Sorry I'm so late to this. There is always a favourite pair of jeans in my experience.
