This is me: 4 of 4

Aha! I'm done! This is my final entry for Crack Skull Bob's Self Portrait Marathon.

As the anonymous quote goes: My goal is to someday be the person my dog thinks I am.

You can see my previous self-portrait efforts here, here and here.

Thanks Jean - you really made me smile!

Achieved without the use of custard creams as well ...

Yes, this *is* wonderful. Give that doggy an extra pat for remaining so still during your reflective photo shoot.

Are you familiar with the Mirror Project, an entire site of reflective photos? (It seems their site is currently down, but normally it's a fun place to do random searches.)

Ruby's steady stare is so full of acceptance that this begins the most beautiful of self prtraits because you are going to continue, aren't you?

Finding that kind of steady accepting gaze when we look at ourselves in a mirror holding mark making tool in our hand is moment for pause but also moment to discover what these wise creatures see immediately... the beauty of a human heart writ on a funny human face and of course the possibility of a biscuit:0)

Ruby has been duly congratulated :)

Thanks all ... yes, D-W, I think there is always the possibility of a biscuit at the back of her mind.

I think I find my pets' attention most interesting when I am ill or upset - they are able to be comfortable around my discomfort in a way that people can rarely be.

Thanks for the link lorianne - still down at the moment but I will check regularly til I find it - or maybe use the wayback machine mirror instead :)

It's a beautiful picture. I find it interesting that we only see shadows and reflections of you in the portraits. Interesting that its you reflected in Ruby not her reflcted in your eye (that would have been quite a tricky picture to tkae though!)I read a little of Crack Skull Bob's thingy and I'm inspired by you to make my own self portraits and so far I have taken a picture of my belly hanging over my trendy trousers, and my spots. Which probably says something about the way I see myself. You have also inspired me to make a blog http://everydayrainbows.blogspot.com/
