To our selves...a life time :0) to geographical place...till our eyes smile from out heart. Till the journey is done I kind of feel that belonging comes down to that moment to moment things again
Especially, I like the rhyme, which seems to contain, resonate with what home means as a feeling of belonging. And then just a few posts down you have that critter carrying its home everywhere. Safety.
And home is such a mantra for me these days that I find your poem especially significant. Do you mind if I write it in my little book and use it as a meditation aid?
D-W, true, and too often I concern myself with timespan in these areas - scared to belong 'here' because 'here' is temporary. In the moment, there is no question or doubt that I belong in This Place.
Brenda, thank you for your supportive words! Mind? I'm really lifted that you would like to. :)
I hadn't realised the connection with the snail ... but it's powerful now you've pointed it out. It reminded me of a childhood holiday in switzerland, where the locals called the hiking tourists l'escargot.
I struggled to post this, it felt too small. And yet all the time too big as well.

Belonging is, surely, key.
